Keith Community Hub
Story by EcoSpark-
The Keith Community Hub is a community hub in Hamilton, Ontario. The community meets at the Eva Rothwell Centre and discusses issues, makes decisions, and tries to improve their community. For example, the community hub funds exterior home renovations for residents who cannot afford to pay for the repairs themselves and they raised money to create a leash-free park for dogs in 2011.
Hamilton’s Neighbourhood Action Strategy is a program that supports communities in Hamilton. Through funding from government, business partnerships, and non-profit organizations, they provide resources to communities in Hamilton.
